What is the NetGenEd Project?

This semester, we will be participating in the 2012 NetGenEd Project with the Flat Classroom Projectscollaborative.
This means we will be working with students in other states and other countries to explore ideas and create projects together.

The main topics of study will by based on the 6 trends described in the 2012 Horizon Report, which predicts how technology will impact education in the future, and the 8 norms of the NetGen (That's you!) from Don Tapscott's Grown Up Digital

  1. research the technology trends together (using Diigo)
  2. share our findings with the world (on the NetGenEd wiki)
  3. create a mash up video (to post on the Ning and to be judged by a panel of experts)
  4. host a student summit (which will be attended by a worldwide audience)
